Chicken Cordon Bleu or commonly known as Chicken Roll is one great dish that you must try. It is an easy to prepare recipe and is definitely delicious. So how do we go about this recipe?
Here are the ingredients for Chicken Cordon Bleu:
- 1 kilo chicken breast boneless
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 slices sweet ham
- 1pc carrot cut into strips
- 1pc green bell pepper cut into strips
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter
- salt and pepper
Procedure:
- Slice the chicken breast thinly to make sure that the chicken breast is almost flat.
- Season the thinly sliced chicken breast with salt and pepper.
- Lay the chicken breast and then lay the ham and cheese on top of the chicken breast. Make sure that the ham and cheese are sliced smaller than the chicken breast.
- Roll the chicken breast with the filling inside; make sure that the edges are sealed.
- Once the chicken roll is secured, dip it in slightly beaten egg; then dip it again in all-purpose flour and lastly, dip in bread crumbs.
- Fry with butter until golden brown. To achieve a more delicious taste, cover the chicken roll with aluminum foil and steam it for 30 minutes then allow to cool and refrigerate it overnight before frying.
